Halloween

I'm with you Brenna, Halloween is a bit silly. Kids to dress up makes it fun, getting together with the ward makes it bearable.
We actually had a lot of fun this year.
Our ward has tried trunk or treat after a big soup dinner and it has usually been so cold, raining or snowing that the kids parade around the gym and grab candy out of buckets. It takes about 10 minutes and they are stocked for the winter.
This year was different and so fun. People signed up to decorate rooms and they had candy from those who chose not to.

REALLY CREEPY PICTURE because the camera apparently was on a wierd setting (not automatic)

I got to "Trick or Treat" with Clay and actually knock on a door, The rooms were so fun. He loved it, Weston went around with his friends and Josi stayed in Lonnie's arms and visited with ward members.

I had a hard time getting pics of them this year though. So I don't have the traditional picture of them at my door. Josi was a cute bunny, Clayton was a super pumpkin at Grandma's and then decided to be a spooky ghost last minute on Halloween. Wes decided he just wanted to wear his soccer clothes and carry a football - I guess he was an athlete.

Since our pictures are so blurry - Mom I need you to post a picture of the kids at your house.

Josi's birthday pics

Some of these are just so sweet I have to brag that I have the cutest one year old right now.

She is so fun... I am even hearing her say "thank you". She signs eat and milk and gives sloppy kisses and big hugs. She is such a clumsy walker we are constantly entertained. She walks into walls, tries to run and smacks into the couch hard enough it sends her backward. Then usually laughs and does it again. I love this stage in children. I can't get enough of her and her antics. Her smile is precious and I could go on and on, but you get the picture, Josi is my sunshine and I love it everyday.

First Day of School and What..?

Weston started 2nd grade Aug 25th and he was so excited.

So excited in fact that he didn't hesitate to catch the bus knowing that his horse Little Miss had just had her baby during the night sometime.

Here's the quick story. After Josi's birthday party Sunday night. We came home and didn't even check Little Miss. She is a horse that we get to keep and the previous owners would like the colt. She was due anytime.
When Wes went to catch the bus the next morning he was surprised to see a tiny colt up the road by the tree. He yelled, "Mom, Little Miss had her colt, see how cute." I said "Yes she did, but where is she?"

Somehow the new colt and first time mom were separated by a fence and a long distance. (She was kept in our pasture behind the barn.) I sent Wes on a few errands for rope and cell phone and then he went to school while I tried to think of something. This little guy was not going to budge from where he was no matter me telling him where I was trying to take him. I realized he was not moving and so went to catch her. After all this I called my friend over who knew so much more about horses and we spent most of the morning reuniting the troublemaker and his mom. They are now in the barn and she keeps him pretty close.
(I promise that is the quick story, you would all laugh at how long I tried and what went on during that morning)
