Might also be HARD..

so Lonnie and I watched a movie last night...I thought it was really good. Listen to Your Heart

The overall theme of the movie to me was expressed by the male lead early on in the movie:
Don't miss out on something great just because it may also be something hard.

It applies to all aspects of my life. In Relief Society today our lesson was on eternal families and I thought this fit perfectly right there. Eternal life will be a great thing....day to day, learning how to get there is really hard sometimes.

Even Weston is struggling with "HARD" things right now. I forget how difficult it is to be 10. By him learning now that conquering hard things makes us stronger and better, he will be so much better off when he is a teenager and beyond.

So I guess I am going to try to positively enjoy my hard things and not shy away from them while I am striving for something far greater.
Wish me luck, maybe remind me when I complain...and....I wish you luck as well!

Here is the real one....

The last post was just a teaser cuz the kids were still not in bed. I am not going to go back and play catch up on this blog. It has been a year and half and so suffice it to say....A lot has happened.

We had such a good day yesterday, the kids had fun and got along with each other.
<<<<<<<< Here is why >>>>>>>> WATER!!!

It seems that playing in the water is just as magical for my kids as I remember it being for me. It is good fun and exhausting.

So after much water play Clay comes and asks me for a towel, and I then remind him that his is in the van from playing at his friends earlier. Soon after Wes informs me that Clay is asleep in the van...he had found his favorite blanket and decided a nap was more important than being dry. Funny Boy.

Then finally Josi is done with the water as well. She comes in with purple/blue lips (normal for her when she is wet) and tells me how hungry she is. Even though we planned on friends coming over for dinner, I fed her quickly and then found her here...With a headband and bow on of course.....

I know the pool is not large, and the backyard is far from perfect, but memories are made everywhere. A good summer day playing in water is all we need!

Just a note on the side maybe the last 18 months that are missing can partly be blamed on crazy mom of three turning into __________ (fill in the blank) mom of four. Everyone meet Kimberli (Kimbi as we lovingly call her). She is such a good little girl, it really isn't fair that I am trying to place the blame on her.

Hmmm Feb 2010 to July 2011

Well apparently not much has been documented....

Fashionable??

Josi sure loves her pretty dresses. She chooses this one often. To keep her warm I chose the shirt underneath. Then she also wanted to wear pants. Isn't she pretty...

We lucked out today because all the pieces have the same colors in them at least. Letting her choose her own clothes gives me smiles each day.

2010 update so FAR...

All right here it is. I have been lazy about blogging because I have gotten addicted to lurking on facebook. Hopefully I will update more often in the future.

As always my January post will include pics of Clays birthday. What a great holiday. Clay enjoys birthdays year round and he gets super excited when it is finally his.

He so enjoys monster trucks and dirt bikes this year. He had a great time playing with his cake...

Hope this keeps us happy until something exciting happens again (and I have time to blog about it)!!!

Our Family Vacation - South Dakota

This was an awesome trip. Lonnie and I really enjoyed almost every minute of it. I think the kids had a great time also.

Driving Time: Lots; but with 2 DVD players almost to easy.
Housing Accomodations: PERFECT!! Thanks Chad and Brenna for finding such a great place to stay...

Things To See: Plenty

This is a funny picture for us because this is what Josi and Clay were doing when we saw most of the buffalo, etc.

But they were awake when the burros visited...

We saw much more than this, the rock formations were incredible, the tunnels were fun. Lonnie brought home a bucket of dirt to pan with our friend Paul. And Weston bought some rocks to admire and hold. Hopefully our memories last.

I haven't had time to update, I also apparently haven't taken many pictures, these are the best of what I've got. Enjoy

It's beyond time to update...

Sorry, I would like to claim a busy life and I do to a point, but the Truth... I have to take turns on the computer with my four year old.

How about this post be all about Clayton. He is currently singing Happy Birthday to himself because I told him we would post pics of his special day. If only he could have a birthday every day.

Clay turned four on the 20th of January, He is so full of excitement. He wanted a bee cake and then a castle cake. The bee cake was great. By Sunday when we were going to celebrate again at mom and dad's I was so sick I didn't make the castle. Maybe next year. He forgave me.

Also Clayton started going to preschool last week, he really likes it so far.

Happy New Year To ALL!

We wish everyone a happy new year. This winter has been fun so far. The kids really enjoyed Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa's. They love the new Jammies!! Christmas morning was fun with lots of stuff from Santa and under the tree. Thanks for the cabbage patch Jamie and girls. Josi is going in for a kiss.. And now for the snow FUN..... The bright sun is in their eyes for the picture.

Well thanks for all the gifts that were shared with us. The Wii is fun, the toys are great. I have really enjoyed the time together this week, with Lonnie off work and Wes out of school. Next week we can get back into routine, but this last week has been fun being together.

Halloween

I'm with you Brenna, Halloween is a bit silly. Kids to dress up makes it fun, getting together with the ward makes it bearable.
We actually had a lot of fun this year.
Our ward has tried trunk or treat after a big soup dinner and it has usually been so cold, raining or snowing that the kids parade around the gym and grab candy out of buckets. It takes about 10 minutes and they are stocked for the winter.
This year was different and so fun. People signed up to decorate rooms and they had candy from those who chose not to.

REALLY CREEPY PICTURE because the camera apparently was on a wierd setting (not automatic)

I got to "Trick or Treat" with Clay and actually knock on a door, The rooms were so fun. He loved it, Weston went around with his friends and Josi stayed in Lonnie's arms and visited with ward members.

I had a hard time getting pics of them this year though. So I don't have the traditional picture of them at my door. Josi was a cute bunny, Clayton was a super pumpkin at Grandma's and then decided to be a spooky ghost last minute on Halloween. Wes decided he just wanted to wear his soccer clothes and carry a football - I guess he was an athlete.

Since our pictures are so blurry - Mom I need you to post a picture of the kids at your house.

Josi's birthday pics

Some of these are just so sweet I have to brag that I have the cutest one year old right now.

She is so fun... I am even hearing her say "thank you". She signs eat and milk and gives sloppy kisses and big hugs. She is such a clumsy walker we are constantly entertained. She walks into walls, tries to run and smacks into the couch hard enough it sends her backward. Then usually laughs and does it again. I love this stage in children. I can't get enough of her and her antics. Her smile is precious and I could go on and on, but you get the picture, Josi is my sunshine and I love it everyday.

First Day of School and What..?

Weston started 2nd grade Aug 25th and he was so excited.

So excited in fact that he didn't hesitate to catch the bus knowing that his horse Little Miss had just had her baby during the night sometime.

Here's the quick story. After Josi's birthday party Sunday night. We came home and didn't even check Little Miss. She is a horse that we get to keep and the previous owners would like the colt. She was due anytime.
When Wes went to catch the bus the next morning he was surprised to see a tiny colt up the road by the tree. He yelled, "Mom, Little Miss had her colt, see how cute." I said "Yes she did, but where is she?"

Somehow the new colt and first time mom were separated by a fence and a long distance. (She was kept in our pasture behind the barn.) I sent Wes on a few errands for rope and cell phone and then he went to school while I tried to think of something. This little guy was not going to budge from where he was no matter me telling him where I was trying to take him. I realized he was not moving and so went to catch her. After all this I called my friend over who knew so much more about horses and we spent most of the morning reuniting the troublemaker and his mom. They are now in the barn and she keeps him pretty close.
(I promise that is the quick story, you would all laugh at how long I tried and what went on during that morning)

Happy Birthday Josi!!

She's one... and trying to walk. Josi had a great birthday. We celebrated with mom and dad at Causey Dam and they gave her some cute books. Then Aug 24th (happy birthday Abby, happy anniversary Grandpa and Sharon) we had a little party again

I made her a ladybug cake and we had a great time. She got a few toys, a doll, and outfits. She was not really interested in opening her presents

Things Josi likes to do: Walk about 4 steps slow, then crawl really fast, Push trucks on the floor, Clap her hands, Smile, Eat, Play outside, Visit our animals (Donkey, Cat, Rosie, Little Miss and baby), to name a few.
